Wirehub Permablock List
Another well maintained, large list of certified networks and ip addresses
worth not receiving email from.
Error 571: ACCESS DENIED by Wirehub! Internet DNSBL
a.k.a Blacklisted by Wirehub! Internet DNSBL (Nederlands)
- Wirehub! Internet employs a DNS-based Blocking List (DNSBL) for stopping spammers in their tracks.
Categories listed by Wirehub! Internet DNSBL:
- direct spam sources (spamming our mailservers directly, not using open relays)
- indirect spam sources (using open relays or other conduits to send spam)
- open proxies (we run proxy testing software examining every IP address showing suspicious behavior)
- spamhaus listings (the blackholes.wirehub.net database includes the ENTIRE sbl.spamhaus.org database)
- opt-out mailers (address harvesters, organizations using dirty/unconfirmed address lists, organizations ignoring permanent fatal errors)
- open formmail scripts (IPs belonging to webservers running insecure formmail scripts)
- spamvertized sites (IPs belonging to webservers hosting sites advertized using any of the sources above)
- relay-probing sources (IPs outside of our networks trying to relay mail through mailservers within our networks; almost all of these IPs are already spamming or preparing spamruns)
The blackholes.wirehub.net database updates at least once every hour.
The only contact address for any blacklist issue is abuse@abuse.wirehub.net.
There are two types of IP numbers in here:
- permanently blocked IPs (persistent spam sources, categories listed above)
- temporarily blocked IPs (IPs showing suspicious behavior). A temporary block lasts for 7 days. It is imposed to keep evolving spam waves at a distance, to gain some time while the IP is being examined by the external open relay/proxy databases we are using (and submitting to), and generally to see if that IP continues to show suspicious behavior. If it does, the IP is blocked permanently.
To find out the reason why you are in this database, please look up your IP address at:
http://basic.wirehub.nl/blockedIPs.txt or submit your IP address at OpenRBL.org and look for the WIREHUB/PERMBLOCK listing.
Note that we sometimes list C-class networks. If you cannot find your exact IP address, take off the last part (111.222.333.444 -> 111.222.333) and repeat
the search.
Other listings for your IP address may be available at: http://openrbl.org.
This is a dump of the current DNSBL zonefile. Note that IP addresses are printed in reverse, so IP 11.22.33.44 will show up as 44.33.22.11.
The plain-text version can be viewed here.
